Please contact Tech Support for instructions on solving this problem.

The Fix

To fix this issue and keep GLTools (for those people that either don’t want to lose any file names *.plugin OR love to play in Quartz composer, do the following:

1. Download the latest version of GLTools.plugin as of this writing the version is 1.6
2. Close all apps
3. Move the original GLTools.plugin file to the trash. As a reminder it is located at /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/GLTools.plugin
4. Move the new file to the location /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/GLTools.plugin
5. Log out
6. Log in
7. Empty the trash to ensure the old GLTools.plugin is not being used.
Of course you could just flat out delete the file. It’s very likely you will never need it, but you never know.
