Working on a flash project I had some 3d graphics rendered to TIFF format. Thinking it’s one of the best formats for quality, I decided to break my ways of importing lighter .jpgs and .pngs into flash and letting me decide later in flash the compression level to use. Here is an example of the difference in quality. For some strange reason flash displays tiffs worse than jpgs. FYI – The jpg is at 100% quality. TIF doesn’t have a quality setting. It’s an uncompressed file. This one makes no sense.
